Drill gauge and welding

In the workshop we made a drill gauge, at the start we measured out the measurements then began cutting out the shape with a hacksaw, once we had gotten close enough to the measurements with the hacksaw, we then started fileing down to the measurements with a "bastard file" and then when i started getting closer to the measurement we started to use a smoother file for accuracy. Once the shape of gauge had been made we then made the drill holes with a drill press starting of with a 4mm hole and making seperate holes up too 12mm, then when thats was done we sanded it all down and made it look nice.

In the workshop we did some fusion welding with the gas welder which is fusing two pieces of metal together with just heat, then we did some welding with a copper rod and combined the two metals together with the metal from the rod.
